The drive through Arthurs Pass was truly amazing, we could have spent weeks in there exploring.
What would your #1 tip be to anyone that is thinking of holidaying through NZ in a Campervan?
Consider travelling in the off season, we loved the serenity and the feeling of being alone at times.
What is your favourite thing about travelling in a Campervan?
Just waking up in the morning with no set plans and going where ever we liked.
What three items would you recommend travellers bring with them while exploring NZ in a campervan?
Good Hiking boots, using the Rankers NZ APP and a decent camera.
Who was the most interesting person you met on your travels?
Don from Koha camp grounds, we certainly learnt a lot about sustainability.
What was your favourite meal while on the road, “a must do eating out location”?
Great Indian food in Nelson, The Indian Cafe (we think).
Where would you re-visit?
We would spend more time around the Nelson region and further North from there.
What’s the strangest / funniest experience you had while on the road?
A cheeky Kea Bird that looked like he was certainly the boss of every vehicle that stopped to take in the scenery not far from the Devils Punch Bowl..
The best campsite you stayed at while on the road?
The Koha Camp site on the river close to Motueka.
Where was your most memorable NZ sunrise or sunset.
Rangi just outside Blenheim (great camping site also).
